Dr Brendan KEATING, PhD NYU Langone Health, New York Invited by Sophie Limou Title : “ IntegrativeOmic Profiling in Pig-to-Human Decedent Xenotransplants “.

Dr. Keating is an Associate Professor, Division of Transplantation, Dept of Surgery and Institute of Systems Genetics at NYU Langone Health. He trained in molecular genetics in the Department of Clinical Medicine and the Wellcome Trust Center for Human Genetics, at the University of Oxford, UK. His PhD focused on discovering and assessing functional impacts of genomic polymorphisms and biomarkers on human inflammatory diseases. He has research interests across genome-wide association studies (GWAS), whole exome-sequencing, miRNA, mRNA and proteomic/metabolomics of transplant donor and recipient’s genomes, with the aim of using genomic and other biomarkers for the diagnoses and prognoses of post-transplant compilations including infection.

Dr. Keating lab has a heavy focus on applying omic wet-lab and analyses in pig-to-human xenotransplantation samples. He also leads the iGeneTRAiN consortium for large-scale genomic studies. He leads a number of NIH R01, U01 grants and Industry and Foundation awards and a Phase IV clinical trial for early infection detection, diagnosis and treatment of influenza in transplant households funded by UnitedHealthGroup and Roche-Genentech (NCT06161454).

Mis à jour le 21 March 2024.
