SEMINAR ; Pr Marco LENTI - “Autoimmune gastritis and gastric cancer risk“.

Prof. Marco Vincenzo Lenti is a gastroenterologist and academic physician at the Department of Internal Medicine and Medical Therapeutics, University of Pavia, and the First Department of Internal Medicine, Fondazione IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo, Pavia. He is internationally recognized for his expertise in autoimmune gastritis, particularly its diagnosis, natural history, hematologic manifestations, and neoplastic risk. He has led multicentre international studies on gastric cancer and neuroendocrine tumor risk in autoimmune atrophic gastritis. His research includes work on pernicious anemia, iron deficiency, cytokine pathways, and early detection strategies for autoimmune gastritis. He has written several authoritative reviews , such as “Autoimmune gastritis: emerging insights and clinical management” in Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology, and "Autoimmune gastritis" in Nature Reviews Disease Primers. Prof.Lenti is also widely regarded as a leading international expert in translational and clinical research on several other gastrointestinal disorders.
