SEMINAR ; Dr Sandrine HENRI - Unraveling the immune cell diversity of murine prostate in health and cancer

“Unraveling the immune cell diversity of murine prostate in health and cancer“. Dr Sandrine HENRI Centre d’Etude des Pathologies Respiratoires (CEPR), Inserm U1100 Université de Tours Invited by Aurélie Moreau

I grew up in the Loire Valley near Amboise and moved to Marseille during my university studies. I did PhD on Immunology (Inserm Laboratory, Marseille, France), on a translational immuno-parasito project aiming to uncover immune signature in patients developing Symmers fibrosis. Then I did a post-doc at the Walter Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI, Melbourne, Australia) where I discovered the beautiful world of dendritic cells. At my return to France, I joined the Centre d’Immunologie de Marseille-Luminy (CIML, Marseille, France), first as post doctoral fellow and was then recruited as Inserm tenure scientist. In the team of Bernard Malissen, I worked on the characterization of the myeloid compartment (dendritic cells and macrophages) mainly in the skin and more recently on prostate, using state-of-the-art technologies and innovative murine models, we uncovered their heterogeneity and functions in health and diseases. Since 2024, I moved back to the Loire Valley and joined the team 'Pathophysiology of lung infections' at Centre d'Etude des Pathologies Respiratoires (CEPR, Inserm U1100, Tours, France) to resume translational research.
