Dr Yang LUO The Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK Invited by Nicolas VINCE Title : “Characterizing the role of the HLA in immune-mediated traits among global populations“.

Yang Luo is a group leader at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, University of Oxford. Her lab specializes in developing statistical methods and computational software to enhance the understanding of the genetic factors that contribute to immune-mediated traits. Specifically, she focus on the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) region, which plays a crucial role in immune system function. Her group leverage data from large biobanks, such as the UK Biobank and China Kandoori Biobank, as well as gene expression data (e.g., from GTEx) and protein concentrations (e.g., from Omicscience) to elucidate the specific biological mechanisms through which genetic variation mediates the modulation of immune-mediated trait risk.

Mis à jour le 14 September 2023 - Emmanuelle MACÉ.
